D. Michael Lindsay is a nationally-recognized scholar who studies the influence of evangelicalism in contemporary culture. He has spent the past five years interviewing leaders in politics, economics, law, business, medicine, religion, and the arts to explore the role of Christian evangelicals in roles of public leadership. His recent book, Faith in the Halls of Power: How Evangelicals Joined the American Elite (Oxford: Oxford UP, 2007), was recognized  by Publishers Weekly as one of last year’s fifteen best books in religion.
